Holiday Handmade Cavalcade

So, I am doing this really fun craft fair event in December. It's very hands on, the group I am in called 'the newnew' is putting everything together themselves. I am a co-chairing a committee- so lots of responsibility, but I think it'll be worth it. This is a little blurb on the event:

Bust out your shopping carts because December 6, 2008, the Holiday
Handmade Cavalcade is taking over the Knitting Factory!

The {NewNew} York Etsy Street team — a group of sellers from Etsy.com, the online marketplace for handmade goods — is heading to TriBeCa/SoHo to set up shop in the Knitting Factory, 74 Leonard Street, NYC. The craft fair will take place from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

You’ll find smashing jewelry, paper goods, hand-screened clothing and accessories, unique artwork and items for the home, yummy soaps and body butters, and much much more!

If you're interested in coming, you should join the newnew mailing list for notifications and also the chance to rsvp for a goodie bag. We will also be giving out raffle tickets the day of to win bigger prizes.

We're planning on having fun music, holiday themed drinks, and more. It should be a good time!

So on that note...

HHC needs Volunteers!

If you for (whatever reason) think it might be fun to volunteer for a craft fair, let me know! Examples of some things you could do include:

- hand out flyers on canal street
- man the goody bag table and rsvp list
- hand out maps and drink coupons at the door
- give out raffle tix on each floor
- collect raffle tix from sellers
- call the raffle (need a gregarious person to handle this...)
- and more

If interested, comment with your name, how long you can work (morning? full day? break down?) and your contact (phone or e-mail).

Right now the group is asking friends & family, but figured I'd post anyway! You might get some free goodies out of it..
